Global risk management consultancy The Risk Advisory Group has appointed Neil Austin as Non-Executive Director. The former Head of Global Markets for KPMG takes up his position on 1st June.

With a career spanning more than 35 years, Neil is an expert in strategy and corporate finance and has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and other public market transactions. He was a Partner at KPMG for over twenty years, latterly serving as Head of Global Markets, in charge of KPMG’s global accounts, marketing, sales and industry groups and with a leading role in developing the firm’s global strategy. For the past five years Neil has been a member of The Sports Broadcast Monitoring Committee, monitoring compliance with a Code of Conduct signed by most of the UK’s major sports bodies, and also an Association Member for Bupa, tasked with providing oversight and performing an important corporate governance role. He also advises a number of private companies and professional services firms with international operations.
